WSSK was raised in 2011 because we thought this amazing breed needed a own club that protects and serve the Shikoku worldwide. We were asked by NIPPO Japan in 2013 to organise a NIPPO show in Holland. And so it happened we organised the first NIPPO show in Holland in 2014. This was a real succes and people liked the way of showing very much so we were asked to organise again many times. We moved from Holland to Hungary with our own family, so the WSSK moved with us to Hungary.
We tried to organise another WSSK Nippo show in Hungary, but it did not work out. We posponed it to 2018 and choose Belgium this time, in a very special venue The Japanese Gardens in Hasselt Belgium.
Nippo asked us if we wanted to become friendsclub officially, so we followed their procedure and got the paperwork that made the procedure FINAL in 2018. We are very proud with this recognisition by Nippo!
This year 2020 we organise the next WSSK European NIPPOSHOW at 5th of april, during a wonderful Japanese dogweekend at 4th and 5th of April 2020. We visit the Grand National show, organised by NIHONKEN HOZONKAI (GN) and hand out every year the glassawards for Best male Shikoku and Best female Shikoku, which is very much appreciated, by the Shikoku breeders and NIPPO.
Also we hand out ribbons at every WDS and EDS shows for the Shikoku entries, for many years in a row.. We enjoy the Shikoku trough our worldwide organisation in all kind of ways, and maybe we can even extend this. But we need members to realise more then only the NIPPO show to organise. We need eachother for the breed.
